Lime Kiln Trail

A snowy adventure in January 2017 off the beaten path in Granite Falls,Washington.  This trail is set within the Old Robe Canyon.  This is a beautiful hike in the winter.  The ground and trees were covered in snow, with a few slippery spots due to ice.  The trail follows along a ridge over the river canyon. The trail leads you to an old Kiln made of stone, that was used back in the early 1900’s when the railroad line was being developed and timber was being harvested.  You can still see old saw blades and machinery along with trail by the kiln.
